The MBA Induction Programme 2025 at Chanakya Campus is a thoughtfully designed initiative aimed at providing a vibrant and meaningful welcome for the new batch. Rooted in the theme “Metamorphosis – Unfolding Wings of Knowledge,” the program marks the beginning of a transformative journey from student life to professional excellence. The induction schedule is meticulously structured to align with the guidelines of AICTE, ensuring holistic development and seamless integration of every entrant into the academic and cultural fabric of the institution.

A key highlight of the programme is its comprehensive coverage of essential modules prescribed by AICTE, including physical activity, creative arts and culture, mentoring on universal human values, and campus familiarization. Students not only participate in outdoor management training and sports activities for physical and team-building development, but also engage in creative and cultural events that foster self-expression and group camaraderie. Literary activities and proficiency modules such as debates, communication workshops, and analytical skill sessions further enhance academic readiness and confidence among participants.

Mentoring sessions by faculty, in-depth orientation on college resources, and themed sessions on universal human values are integral to the schedule. These experiences help students internalize institutional values, cultivate ethical perspectives, and build supportive peer relationships. Eminent guest speakers, industry interactions, and local exposure visits are interwoven throughout the programme to ensure exposure to real-world practices and contemporary leadership insights.

True to AICTE’s objectives, the induction is not only an academic necessity but a celebration of new beginnings. Extra-curricular and club activities encourage active involvement in campus life, while structured feedback and reflection mechanisms ensure each student’s voice is heard and the programme continues to evolve in quality.   2. The session highlighted the transition from academic life to corporate culture, stressing professional skills and adaptability. Students gained insights into expectations of the corporate world.

22nd Sep:

  1. Mind Matters: Let's Talk, Heal, Grow by Ms Shilpa Tambe
  2. The session focused on mental health awareness, encouraging students to openly discuss their well-being, emotional challenges, and techniques to support psychological growth. Through interactive dialogue and practical strategies, Shilpa Tambe emphasized the importance of healing and personal development as foundational aspects of student success in the demanding environment of management education.

  3. Pink Paper Power: Stay Ahead with Business News by Mr. Neelesh Atre
  4. The session titled "Pink Paper Power: Stay Ahead with Business News" during the MBA Induction Programme 2025 was conducted by Mr. Neelesh Atre. This session focused on equipping students with the skills and awareness to keep current with evolving business news and market trends. It included discussions on how to critically analyze business news, use it effectively for academic and professional advantage, and stay informed in a fast-changing corporate environment—a vital capability for future managers and decision-makers.

  5. Committee Orientation and Student Council Interaction:
  6. The Committee Orientation introduced students to statutory and non-statutory committees within the institute, such as the Statutory committees and the Academic Council, Placement Committee, Cultural and Sports Committees. Through interactive sessions, students learned how these committees influence decision-making processes, organize key events, and ensure the smooth functioning of academic and extracurricular activities.

    Simultaneously, the Student Council Orientation empowered students by guiding them on effective leadership, communication, and collaborative skills. Incoming council members will be inducted on their duties towards representing their peers, organizing student-driven initiatives, and fostering an inclusive campus environment that aligns with institutional values.

  7. Cultural Program:
  8. An engaging activity identified and nurtured diverse talents among new students at the outset of their academic journey. This program provided an opportunity for freshers to showcase their skills in areas such as music, dance, creative arts, oratory, literary talents, and innovative ideas. It helped in building confidence, encouraging participation, and fostering a sense of belonging within the campus community.


23rd Sept:

  1. Empowered Learning, Measurable Outcomes” [Syllabus and Specialization Orientation]:
  2. The MBA Induction Programme 2025 at Chanakya Campus embraced the philosophy of "Empowered Learning, Measurable Outcomes," aimed at providing students a clear and comprehensive understanding of the academic journey ahead. This orientation session introduced freshers to the detailed syllabus structure and the specializations offered within the MBA program, setting the stage for informed and purposeful learning.

    During this segment, students were acquainted with the course design, key subjects, credit systems, and evaluation criteria. Emphasis was placed on how each component contributes to the development of managerial competencies and leadership skills. This empowered students to take ownership of their learning paths and motivated them to engage deeply with the curriculum.

    Special attention was given to the various specialization tracks, outlining the scope, career prospects, and skill sets associated with each. Expert faculty provided insights into how these specializations aligned with industry demands and evolving business landscapes, helping students make strategic decisions about their areas of focus.

  3. Unlocking opportunities through LinkedIn Learning
  4. MBA 1st year students attended an insightful session on "Unlocking Opportunities through LinkedIn Learning" conducted by Mr. Anup Menon [Account Director & Regional Head - Large Enterprises (Public Sector + Government + Academics)] and Mr. Amit Mukherjee [Senior Customer Success Manager].

    The session enriched students with strategies to enhance their learning journey, expand their professional network, and leverage LinkedIn Learning for future career growth.

Course Overviews:

  • As a crucial component of the MBA Induction Programme 2025, esteemed course faculties provided an in-depth overview of their respective subjects, outlining core learning objectives, key themes, and real-world relevance. These sessions enabled students to understand the expectations and scope of each course, bridging initial curiosity with guided academic insights. Faculty presentations also allowed students to engage with instructors early, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • During these interactive sessions, faculties elaborated on the syllabus content, highlighting essential modules, case studies, practical assignments, and project work that form part of the curriculum. This transparent communication empowered students to align their efforts with course goals and illustrates how theoretical knowledge integrates with managerial practice.
  • Assessment methodologies were dclearly explained by course instructors, detailing components such as midterms, end-semester exams, continuous evaluation through assignments, group projects, presentations, and internal assessments. Faculties emphasized the importance of timely feedback, skill development, and practical application to ensure measurable learning outcomes.

27th Sept: Outdoor Management Training:

  • MBA students experienced an exciting outdoor management training program designed to bring key management concepts to life. Through engaging outdoor games and activities, they developed critical skills in leadership, teamwork, initiative, planning, and decision-making. This immersive learning experience helped bridge theory and practice in a fun and dynamic setting, preparing future managers to lead with confidence and collaboration.

Arambha: Induction Program 2024 at Indira Global School of Business

The Indira Global School of Business (IGSB) successfully organized "Arambha: Induction Program 2024," welcoming the new batch of MBA students with a series of insightful and engaging sessions from September 10th to 21st, 2024. The induction aimed to ease students' transition into the academic and professional world, introducing them to the school's culture, curriculum, and industry expectations.

The program commenced with a Welcome Kit Distribution, Library and Lab registration. Dr. Tatake welcomed the students and graciously introduced the faculty setting the tone for the coming weeks. A diverse array of sessions followed, covering topics like Case Study Analysis by Dr. Pallavi Sajanpwar, Marketing Fundamentals, and Accounting Basics, to build a strong foundation for the students’ academic journey. Dr. Anuradha, Head IQAC gave an overview of the AICTE Statutory and Non – Statutory Committees. Dr. Pallavi and Dr. Aatish also gave an overview of the New Education Policy, the SPPU Syllabus. The administration team also explained the rules and regulation of the institute and hostel.

A highlight of the program was the session on Brand & Consumer Perception followed by Brand You conducted by Dr. Aatish Zagade, which encouraged students to reflect on their personal branding. SWOT & SWOC Analysis, and a session on the Revival Story of CCD, provided practical business insights, while the Design Thinking workshop introduced creative problem-solving approaches.

The students also engaged in wellness sessions, including Soul: Wellness Quotient and discussions on Universal Human Values, aiming to enhance their holistic development. A crucial part of the induction was the Aptitude Training Orientation by Mr. Raj Tater from Xed Intelect, preparing students for future placement processes.

The program concluded with an Industry Expert Session by Ms. Surabhi Dixit, Head Campus Placements, RBL, Mr. Vispi Karkaria, India Campus Team, Philips, Mr. Anand Nair , Senior Partner – Talent Acquisition, Avalara and Girish Gadge, followed by an Alumni Panel Discussion, where distinguished alumni shared their experiences and offered valuable guidance on navigating the professional world.

Prof.Chetan Wakalkar took a full day workshop on Corporate Yodha: Unleashing the Power of QU in You. He spoke about the importance of emotional intelligence, creative quotient, digital skills, mental resilience, and strategic thinking in the corporate world. Prof. Wakalkar's unique approach provided students of MBA Batch 2024-2026 with practical tools to harness their inner strength and overcome challenges in the workplace. It was an enriching experience that left the students feeling empowered and ready to conquer the corporate battlefield!"

The induction program successfully set the stage for the students' academic and professional growth, preparing them for the exciting journey ahead at IGSB.

An MBA (Master of Business Administration) induction program serves as an introduction to the academic, social, and professional aspects of pursuing an MBA degree. We at Indira Global School of Business conducted the induction program for the students of batch 2023-2025 from 21st August 2023 to 13th September 2023. We have conducted this program so as to enable the students to transition smoothly into the MBA environment.

At Indira Global School of Business, we believe in nurturing future leaders and entrepreneurs, fostering innovation, and imparting knowledge that transforms lives. Our annual MBA Induction Program, titled “AARAMBH” with the theme for the program being: “Investing now for a better tomorrow” marks the beginning of an exciting academic journey for our incoming MBA students. This immersive event is meticulously crafted to introduce our students to the ethos of our institution, its values, and the rich learning experiences that await them.

The term induction is generally used to describe the whole process whereby the incumbents adjust to or acclimatize to their new roles and environment. In other words, it is a well- planned event to educate the new entrants about the environment in a particular institution, and connect them with the people in it.

Student Induction Programme engages with the new students as soon as they come into the institution, before regular classes start. At the start of the induction, the incumbents learn about the institutional policies, processes, practices, culture and values, and their mentor groups are formed.

Indira Global School of Business Pune organized a one-week induction program for the fresh entrants to MBA program, in line with the AICTE requirements. The objective of this program was to acclimatize the students to the new environment and get them acquainted with the institution culture. The rationale for induction was to ensure a smooth transition for the students into the Indira Culture. A total of 25 students participated in this program offline whereas other students remotely joined the program as it was livestreamed on Platforms like YouTube and Zoom.

The event was graced by Chief Guest, Mr.Prashant Utreja, Chief Human Resource Officer, Reliance Capital, Reliance Group, Chairperson [IGI], Dr. Tarita Shankar, Group Director [IGI], Prof. Chetan Wakalkar, Executive Director-Corporate Relations, Ms. Madhuri Sathe, Dr. Pandit Mali, Director-Indira Institute of Management, Pune, Mr. Aadesh Gaekwad, Trustee-Shree Chanakya Education Society, Principal-ICEM, Dr. Sunil Ingole and by Director-IGBS, Dr. Virendra Tatake.

The Chief Guest shared his expertise with the students related to what career means and how to proceed in one’s career keeping goals and objectives. Mr. Prashant also emphasized the importance of Networking, Learn, Unlearn and Relearning in the Corporate scenario. He congratulated the students on taking the wise decision of join g a professional degree course and wished them the best in their journey ahead.

Dr. Tarita Shankar addressed the gathering and delivered a motivational speech on “Caring” and “Humanity” as the best virtues of mankind. She emphasized that Emotions play a very important role and that we should treat people consciously and have the empathy for everyone around us. Prof. Chetan Wakalkar shared his views on the metaverse, Future of Work and how virtual reality is enabling technology and making the world loose the borders.

Special recognitions went to the Academic Toppers for the Batch 2019-2021. Faculty and student volunteers from across programs worked extensively to ensure that the induction was well organized. The ceremony was a grand success.

Indira Global School of Business Pune organized a one-week induction program for inducting fresh entrants to MBA program, in line with the AICTE requirements. The objective of this program was to acclimatize the students to the new environment and get them acquainted with the institution culture. The rationale for induction was to ensure a smooth transition for the students into the Indira Culture. The global pandemic scenario had delayed the admission process by a semester. The students were eagerly waiting to join the program which is a gateway to their dream career path. Indira Global School of Business is known for its theme- based Induction. To train the budding managers to navigate through these constantly shifting terrains, the theme of this year’s Induction Programme was “Reinventing Business, Embracing Change”

The Chief Guest for the Induction Programme of MBA batch 2020-22 was Mr. Colin Mendes, Head of Human Resources – VoltasBeko. The duration of the programme was two hours including the speech and interaction with the audience and it was conducted online through ZOOM platform.
